Happy Reveal Your Blog Crush Day!

 

It’s reveal your blog crush day!  I don’t have a lot of time to go into details, so check Sizz’s blog for the scoop.
I have the unfortunate situation of having taken an older, more widespread blog and supressed it utterly and completely because of creepy activity and the fact I seem to attract stalkers in real and electronic life like flies on a piece of…umm…surely there’s a more flattering analogy I could have picked… So I’m not exactly a “presence” like a lot of folks out there because sometimes I comment with just my first name and sometimes I link to this blog.  I mix and match it up to keep people guessing, and unfortunately that leaves me sort of an underground blogger.  But, that is the decision I made, and it’s been the right one.
ANYWHOO.  This is not about me.  This is about expressing my love for my favoritest blogger this year.  And actually, I have two. (even narrowing it down that far was hard!)  E. will be happy to hear that they are both girls…
First:  ADW, aka Ex Hooters Girl
If you read through her blog, you would never think she’d be my type.  i.e., you’re hard-pressed to find a swear word here whereas she…um…comes up with some real creative ones, fa sure!  But she never fails to make me laugh, and under that tough abrasive exterior it is so obvious that a soft little pink girlie heart beats below.  She loves shoes and shopping and has great style, she loves her friends, she tells hilarious hairdresser stories, and she is cute as a button.  ADW is who she is and she’s never ashamed of it.  And maybe, just maybe, she’s got a little NE Ohio girl vibe going on that I can identify with, having grown up there. Yay for ADW! Her blog was one of my favorite finds of 2007.
Second:  I felt this blogger should have her own category because I’ve actually met her in real life so it’s not just her blog that makes me crush on her.  That’s Kilax!  That banner at the top of her blog says it all.  She is just as fun, cute, silly, bubbly, and just plain sweet as you would expect.  She and her husband are the couple of choice for me & E. to hang out with when it’s feasible.  And the more I read/learn about her, the more I am convinced she is my long lost little sister.   I look forward to continuing to get to know her as a friend more than just a fellow blogger.
