Back in the Swing of Things

Despite a wealth of technical difficulties (Comcast screwing up my internet connection, which also powers my phone; new desk crumbling before I even got it halfway assembled; laptop went bellyup over the weekend & I bought a new Sony Vaio which unfortunately has Windows Vista which unfortunately is not compatible with the work VPN; dehydration/heat sickness yesterday p.m. that knocked me down for most of the evening)–things are going fairly smoothly as I get back into the work routine.   I was online at 8am typing away and I’m amazed at how quickly the day is going by (and how much I’m getting accomplished).  I think everyone is coming off of the holiday buzz still, so nobody is terribly anxious to call me up and bother me.   Heh.
Sadly, I did not make it to see Transformers on Friday.  I was battling another illness–this one a mysterious bug that gave me headache, stomach ache, fever, icky throat and fatigue.  Saturday was spent dealing with all the technical issues listed above.  Sunday started well, with a trip to Gap Outlet that resulted in 3 pairs of shorts, a dress, a couple shirts and a pair of summer pj’s for $80 or so.  That was terrific, since I’m leaving for Floriday on Friday!!! (and purchasing lots of water and slathering on lots of sunscreen and ensuring I wear my cute little hat)
